Teriyaki Beef with Rice

Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef , thinly sliced
  • rice

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soya sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp ginger , freshly grated
  • 1 garlic , diced

  1. Prepare rice as per instructions.
  2. In a saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients and bring to boil on medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Marinade the beef slices with half of the sauce for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a frypan on medium high heat. Stir in beef and cook till it’s done. Add the remaining sauce and serve.
