Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Garlic Cilantro Lime Slaw
Ingredients
Lime sauce
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup green onion , chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro , chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 limes , juiced
- 1/2 cup sour cream , (full-fat Greek yogurt substitute)
Taco Spice
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sea salt , coarse
Toppings
- 1 pound shrimp
- 2-3 cups green cabbage , shredded
- 8 small tortillas , corn or flour
- avocados
- cotja cheese , shredded
- lime , wedges

- Pulse all sauce ingredients together in a food processor until smooth.
- Toss some of the sauce (not all) with the cabbage. Use leftover sauce for toppings.
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss the shrimp in a small bowl with the spice mix until coated. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the shrimp to the hot pan and sauté for 5-8 minutes, flipping occasionally until shrimp are cooked.
- Assemble the tacos with toppings of your choice
