Moo Goo Gai Pan

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken , cubed
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper , to taste
  • 3 carrots , large
  • 8 ounces mushrooms , sliced
  • 8 ounces water chestnuts
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 green onion , chopped
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds

  1. salt and pepper the chicken, cook until done. Take out of fry pan.
  2. add tbsp olive oil and carrots, sauté. Add mushrooms and sauté 1-2 minutes. Add chestnuts and snow peas, cook 1-2 minutes.
  3. Mix together sauce ingredients - brown sugar, garlic, soy sauce, chicken broth, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, water)
  4. Add chicken and sauce to fry pan and cook until sauce is thickened.
