Italian Apple Cake with Sour Cream

  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 1 cup flour , all purpose
  • 1/2 cup sugar , granulated
  • 1/2 cup butter , melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch salt

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, melted butter until smooth. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  4. Gently stir in chopped apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
