- 6 cloves garlic , minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce , low sodium
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar , light
- 1 tbsp sesame oil , toasted
- 1 tbsp chili sauce , such as samba oelek
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper , thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound asparagus , trimmed and cut
- 1 cup snow peas
- 2 pounds shrimp , peeled and deveined

- In a small bowl, combine with garlic, 1/4 cup of water, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, chilli sauce, and cornstarch. Whisk to combine.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Once the oil is glistening, add the bell pepper, asparagus, and snow peas. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables begin to soften, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until pink and opaque, 3 to 4 minutes more.
- Add the soy sauce mixture to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid slightly thickens and the shrimp and veggies are completed coated, about 5 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice, sprinkled with cilantro and sesame seeds if desired.
