Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Chicken Tacos

- 1 lb chicken breasts , boneless and skinless
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder , optional
- soft, small tortillas , corn or flour
Toppings
- shredded lettuce
- diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado , sliced
- shredded cheese
- sour cream
- chopped cilantro
- wedges lime
butter sauce
- 4 tbsp butter , unsalted
- 4 cloves garlic , minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar , optional

- Cook the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and cook in the skillet for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter honey BBQ sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in the BBQ sauce, honey,and apple cider vinegar. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld and the sauce to thicken.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet, on a griddle, or wrapped in foil in the oven until soft and pliable.
- Assemble the tacos. Divide the sauce across the tacos, add chicken mixture and your favourite toppings.
