- 2.5 cups rolled oats , Quaker
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt , optional
- 1 cup margarine , melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 19 fl. ounces cherry pie filling

- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 22 x 33 cm (9 x 13 inch) rectangular baking pan.
- Combine dry ingredients for crust. Add margarine and vanilla. Mix until crumbly.
- Reserve 1.5 cups of the mixture for a topping. Spread the remainder evenly in the pan, pressing to flatten it. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Spread pie filling evenly over crust. Sprinkle reserved topping evenly across the top. Bake 18-20 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
